  A terrible real estate agency to go with. They will lie to you, no matter if you're an owner, tenant, buyer or seller. My partner and I had first-hand dealings with the Coogee branch. We were lied to, in writing, over a six-month period. Then had a manager admit that her staff had mistreated us as tenants and lied, then took our bond to pay for previous tenants' actions. The manager then told us to 'sod off' as we couldn't do anything about it. Never, ever, in my life, have I dealt with such horrible customer service. If you want good customer service, DON'T use them!

  Wonderful customer service. Moved into a fairly run down apartment more than two years and was concerned of the repairs that would inevitably be needed. However, I shouldn't have been, because every problem has been dealt with efficiently and without hassle. Whether it is a leaky tap or missing television signals, we've always been impressed at how quickly the problem is solved. They have an excellent range of skilled and reliable contractors. For people sick of neglectful real estate agents, give Coogee First National a ring.

  The owner insists on this amazing reputation, but its really not the case. I admin a 26,000 strong facebook tenants group for the local area and when asking if anyone was having issues with this agency i had MANY people come back with reports of ignoring serious safety matters within properties, complete absence of customer service and unfair taking of bond monies on exit, particularly for overseas tenants who were not aware of their rights.

  Completely ignore requests for tenants for months on end, lack lustre, negligent which left me battling mould daily in a property where i had been asked to sign a mould agreement myself. Staff lazy, ignore requests, and ask for illegal and unethical agreements to pay rent after handing back keys.

  After months of emails, contacts, photos etc owner of agency just simply pretends there has been no mould issue at all. As if photos and contact after contact simply disappears into never-never land (despite screen shots to the contrary) and as it suits them to avoid explaining to the owner the tenancy breakdown. Its the most astounding lack of accountability i have ever come across.

  Completely unethical. I would not recommend this agency to either owners or tenants. Until 6 months ago this agency had great customer service and i recommended them to neighbours and my local business clients. Recently, since the rebrand, there has been a complete dive in standards and i honestly could not imagine a worse agency to be with.

  Regardless of the slippery reply from the agency i come to expect from posting this review, because really there is very little i think they will not do to manipulate and avoid accountability, i really think its so important to get the message out there to BUYER BEWARE with this agency. As a tenant i strongly recommend saving yourself the hassle and go to an ethical agency because it will cost you in the end. As an owner you do not want your tenant ignored for months on end until your home is damaged and the previously good tenant is completely fed up and wants to leave - as an owner having quiet, reliable long term tenants is key.

  We made a complaint about noise from various residents in a block wholely managed by First National. This noise was having serious health effects and was affecting all residents adjacent to the block they manage. First National ignored us. After many interrupted nights, we wrote to the building owners but First National replied to our Strata Managers (not us), saying there was no such problem, the reports were greatly exaggerated and it was "generic" noise. Basically they ignored us and twisted our words as only Estate Agents can do. Disgraceful, unprofessional, uncaring attitude. In future we will ask all residents to ignore First National (as they have abdicated responsibility), and write directly to the property owners - every time.

  As a tenant who was offered to lease the investment units of two separate neighbours of said property due to diligence with the property, I find myself absolutely stunned at the way this rogue agency believes they can operate in this manner and get away with it.

  Regardless of the fantasy reply posted to this, or whether i come accross as a disgruntled tenant (i am!) i think forewarned is forarmed and really ... there are some really great agencies in the area skip this one and save yourself the nightmare
